My Next Project
I was going through some quilt block patterns recently to decide which block I would use as the base for my next project. There were three blocks that kept saying ‘pick me’, pick me’ :). In quilting, each block is given a ‘name’. In many cases, the same block may have a number of different names, so don’t be surprised if you see the same block elsewhere under a different name. Each of the blocks are a combination of squares and in quilting terms, ‘half square triangles’.
The three blocks that I am looking at are ‘Friendship Star, ‘Hour Glass’ and ‘Shoo Fly’. Please see below images to see outlines of each of the blocks mentioned.
I would love to hear from yourselves to hear what your thoughts are. Send me a quick message with your thoughts and your ‘Vote’ for your ‘preferred’ block. I will begin ‘my next project’ in about 2 weeks or so based on the block that gets the most votes.
In the meantime, I will continue work on ‘Strike 2’, the second in a series of 12 pieces that will be completed with a ‘clockface’ in mind.
